Good news for me mk. Must be on the left temporal lobe where this processing goes on. As I am down one large piece of my right anterior temporal lobe and my right side hippocampus to boot, any increased understanding of the brain by science is good news to me. I've always been excellent at recognizing faces, and still continue to do so, post-glioma treatment, but I've always wondered if I'll have a decline in my ability to do so as a result of the cancer and treatments. My guess is, that I shouldn't have too much of an issue in the near future. I would hate to lose the left hippocampus though, I'd end up with retrograde amnesia. No way to store new memories. That would suck.
