My stepfather owned one of these. It spent a lot if time in the shop. A few years ago I dug around the internet to find out more about this car. There's lots of funny well written snark about it. I don't think I've seen one in the road in decades. My step dad's Fuego was stolen one night in downtown Detroit. No one was all that sad to see it go.

It's my understanding that malaise era cars were not very well known for their reliability. I can only imagine European ones were especially unreliable. That said, this car is one hell of an odd duck and this is coming from a guy who likes El Caminos and who kind of likes the looks of the Isuzu Vehicross.
