- Behind-the-scenes frustration would not be unprecedented in the Oval Office. Other presidents have become estranged from the Justice Department over time, notably President Bill Clinton, who bristled at Attorney General Janet Reno’s decisions to authorize investigations into him and his administration, among other things. But Mr. Trump’s tweets on Monday made his feelings evident for all to see and raised questions about how he is managing his own administration.
Makes me wonder if Trump truly despises every single human except himself and Ivanka. Sessions could not be a more perfect asshole for this administration. Still absolutely unacceptable to even mildly disagree with the man.“They [Tweets] wholly undercut the idea that there is some rational process behind the president’s decisions,”
I think he has a deeply flawed view of the world that rotates around conspiracies excluding or against him which result in him being an outsider from the rich and powerful. When he wants people to act, he wants them to act in accordance with the world he assumes exists. Of course, people can't act that way because that world doesn't exist and so he's faced with a dilemma - it's their fault in acting or it's his fault in understanding. He seems to see his position and path through life as proof it's not his fault and so the only option left is to be mad about everyone else.
Donald Trump is easy to understand if you consider him to be a person with a noteworthy lack of empathy. As a man who cannot figuratively put himself in someone else's shoes, everything that thwarts his will is malice or incompetence. He lashes out because he has done everything right, but everyone around him constantly screws up (deliberately or accidentally) to cause an outcome other than the one he desires. And if the outcome he desires changes over time, then those he entrusts to carry out his wishes are deficient if they do not anticipate his vision. (clearly, it takes an exercise of empathy to appreciate someone who lacks it)
