For too long, there have been many underachieving students. Here's a video of someone trying to get people to sign a petition to redistribute grades. Not everyone - just the top 10% grade earners, as they can afford it. It's not fair - no one needs a 4.0 GPA.
I think I got this in an email forward from my Dad when Obama was running for President. It was an attempt to compare it to a progressive tax strategy. As if grades and money are the same thing. They aren't. People get good grades when they study hard and learn in the classroom. People make a lot of money buy working hard, becoming a boss, and then hiring people to do the work for them. Few people get rich on their own or without the highways tax dollars pay for. Anyway, I could go on and on and probably did when my Dad forwarded it to me. Let the debate begin.

Hey, just stumbled upon this old conversation and I think you're right about how the majority of the "rich" came upon their success. You should check out this post: http://hubski.com/pub?id=5943
... it expands upon the idea that they didn't get rich "without the highways and tax dollars paying for it". Worth reading. cheers.
