I'm surprised that the idea of milk with jam is so foreign to you. To me, it seems completely natural: you mix a drinkable liquid with a sweet substance for tasty results. Much like tea with sugar, just... milk with jam.

Berry jam, to be precise. Fruit preserves are rare around here.

I suppose that it isn't, you can buy cartons of milk flavored with chocolate, strawberry, and now banana here in stores. I had just never heard of doing it with jam, and wondered if it was served cold or warm.

I always did it cold, never found it reasonable to heat the milk beforehand. Thanks for the idea, though!

Hot cocoa is a popular winter beverage here, and rumor has it that Russia has cold winters, so I figured it could go either way.

I want some of that powidl. I can get plums here but I doubt I could make it quite right. Might try this fall anyway.

My favorite jam to make is jalapeƱo.

No success like in trying. Best of luck. May your table be sweeter this year.
