BMSR is great! You should definitely check out Shpongle as well!
I saw them at Pittsburgh last year and they were amazing. It's weird that I went to the show, because I really only knew them from this collaborative album, but it was worth it. I broke out of my shell and made a couple of friends and got a lot of great photography shots of the opening band before my camera died.
My daughter told me that the song, "We Will Rock You," is her favorite song. We listened to it together and at the end she said to me, "Dad, that guitar player is super good." -It was a proud moment.
Watch that full screen at full quality. Wonderful song, amazing video. Not as big a fan of the song, kinda pop music theme to it. But the video is amazing. Working with Indian doctors exposes you to music you would not otherwise here. Hindi is also an offshoot of the proto-language that became German and Latin so the music fits the same structure for the most part that 'western' music fits. The thing about these videos is the sheer amount of choreography needed to pull the visuals off. Somewhere out there is a scene from a Bollywood movie where there is a group of women dancing. Each is in a very brightly coloured dress and the way they move with the music is wonderful. I need to dig it out and share with the group. My Youtube suggestions are... odd.
Apparently can't respond to flagamuffin but at least wanted to say that "The Pooh Sticks" are quite good and something I hadn't heard before, so. Anyway, lots of Ramones this past week.
