I have a good friend who fits this description to a tee. Not only does she dislike competitive games, but the very thought of them makes her uncomfortable.
There is one exception. If you have a ball and toss it to her, she will gladly attempt to catch it, as long as you don't toss it fast...or keep score of any sort. Myself, -I'm a child of the 80's. I love me some video games, even if I'm fairly ambivalent to American sports.
Yes, I understand what she's talking about, even though I will happily play games from time to time.
What I really don't get, however, is people who see all of life as some sort of a competitive game. And there seems to be a lot of people like that. Can you think of anything Americans don't use some sort of sport or game metaphor for? It's just bizarre.
