dear hubskiers:
this article reads much more silkily within its Harper's context (for reasons of font, layout, aesthetic sensibility, etc.) however, the mag has gone all fascist in its embrace of the pay-wall (a thing about which i'm torn). thanks to the bandits of cyberspace, please enjoy.

We at Hubski do not endorse... just kidding. Whatever. I don't know about paywalls in general, but a paywall between a reader and that article in particular seems ridiculous. This alternate title: "When people are about to die, all they want to do is fuck. The helpless, the impotent, the castrated, all they want to do is fuck.", might not only increase the number of people that read the article, but it would likely boost Hubski's traffic.

it certainly would. all of that traffic would then begin spamming us mercilessly. or is that just the elitist in me talking?
paywalls are problematic, but i think necessary to any continuation of quality journalism. there's this great article in Harper's on the subject which i'd link to now ... if not for the paywall. i like irony, but less so when it's thwarting me!
