That looks yummy. I've already started on my new years resolution early and have given up drinking, which is hard because I'd have a beer with every dinner and every now and again a shot of jack or something for a bedtime snack. I've been drinking O'Douls when the urge for beer hits, but damn is that shit so not satisfying. It's really not even worth it. Time to switch to fancy pops instead.

Combinations of fruit, club soda, and bitters make good non-alcoholic[1] drinks. Very refreshing.

1. Most bitters have some amount of alcohol, so they might not meet a moral definition of non-alcoholic, but as dash of bitters is not much more than you might absorb just rinsing with Listerine.

I think for religious reasons, it technically doesn't count. That said, I'll keep that in mind for people who want to go out to the bars but need to drive home.

I wasn't a "drink most nights with dinner" drinker, but I'd have three beers any time I was out. And I used to go out three or four nights a week. Nothing past midnight and never heavy drinking, just live music. But ever since I cut back I feel a lot better. My new routine is one or two drinks once every month or two. For me it works really well. I hope your resolution works as well for you as mine did for me.

Well, if it makes you feel better, it's not really worth the money. Smooth on the front end, but then just goes down fairly bland.

I was a beer snob. I think the fact that I enjoyed Jack hints that I don't know much about good, hard alcohol.

Ain't nuthin' wrong with Jack Daniels. I prefer my whiskey from Kentucky but Jack's all right.
