2017 is looking to make up for the shittiness of this year. The possibilities are crazy. I mean look at this shit: I might have to change my pants. I AM bummed that I lose my dedicated handheld. What do you do when you have two versions of Pokemon? Is that just, over? Does my sister have to buy a separate system to play Pokemon Maroon while I play Pokemon Magenta? What about niche handheld games like Bravely Default and 7th Dragon and Ace Attorney and Professor Layton? Are they just gone now? Either way Nintendo is doing something interesting, and I appreciate that.
This looks cool as hell. I've been out of the console game (heh) for years, but now that I have a kid who's approaching an age to start gaming with me, I'd like to revisit it. Nintendo's always been the more kid-friendly platform. And I'm not going to lie, the idea of being able to play at home and then take the whole thing to work for my lunch break sounds amazing. Also, that new Mario 64 looked amazing.
