I'm happy with my score of 6 and slightly hampered ability to discriminate pinks. Too bad my hearing is shot.

My hearing is horrible. Too much loud music without ear plugs. I would caution any young musician to buy a pair of custom molded ear plugs, I wish I had. My hearing is fine if what I'm listening to is all the noise in the room. But when in a loud setting, the sounds tend to get muddied together.
6 is a great score though, I think your eyes are compensating for your hearing!

Sorry about the lack of coverage, that sucks. I'm not to the point of needing hearing aids, but unfortunately I see that in my future. My hope is that by the time this arrives, the technology has advanced.... as has my ability to afford such amenities.

Yup. Ins will help with the office visits, but not the actual hardware which is the largest part of the expense. I support the ACA as being a step in the right direction for the US, but it's not immediately going to help me with my particular problem here.
