New York Times VP and Assistant General Counsel David McCraw sent the linked letter to Donald Trump’s legal team in response to a retraction request about The Times’s article Two Women Say Donald Trump Touched Them Inappropriately
- If Mr. Trump disagrees, if he believes that American citizens had no right to hear what these women had to say and that the law of this country forces us and those who would dare to criticize him to stand silent or be punished, we welcome the opportunity to have a court set him straight.

It's so rare that, as a lawyer, you get to say what you really think of the opposing side's claim. I can feel the catharsis coming off of this one.

The one that takes the cake for most lawyers is from 1974 when a Cleveland Browns ticket holder wrote to the team complaining of the menace posed by paper airplanes. Complaint: Response: (Note the owner Art Modell was CCed)
