I like the show; it is aimed at nerds, but usually pretty funny. Made by the guy who does The Simpsons (Matt Groening). The context is, this guy (bit of a d-bag) is dying of boneitis, and asked if he has any regrets, he explains that his only regret is that he has boneitis. Sorry, I looked for a clip but couldn't find it.

I think its telling that my post about dying turned in to a conversation about Futurama and has zero other comments (aside from my one). While I recently posted an "ask hubski" about the best/worst videos and it received a bunch of comments. Nobody likes to talk about death but everyone loves music ;-)

I suspect it's also because nobody likes thinking too much about regret. I got a lot of response to my "what song do you want played at your funeral?" post - but maybe that just shows : music > death.

One of the primary reasons I moved to NZ was because I did not want to regret not doing it, later in life.

Regret is a scary word, no doubt about it.

Thanks for the synopsis. I realize I'm probably the one person that has no idea about this show.

Here's an example of the extreme nerdiness of Futurama :

That's pretty elaborate and awesome.

"Boneitis" has become a meme - here's an example :
