Hey xandor, good to see you come out from beyond the curtain. Why do this? That is a completely valid question and it's one that I've definitely thought about. The truth is that most people that visit and post sub-par content don't stay long because they don't get shares or comments. Either that or they start changing the type of things they post, which is cool. Also, in theory you could maintain the same quality of a feed if you followed the right people. I notice that you're not following anyone currently and are relying solely on the "lurk" feed. If you ever found that the lurk feed was not what you hoped, I would suggest following some Hubskiers that you know post/share quality content.
All this said, I would be really glad to know about where you might suggest we focus our efforts aside from the mainstream social media sites? I'm all ears and I agree that this might be a better approach. I have mentioned Hubski on TED forums in the past and it seemed to bring some great contributors to the site. I have also done this in NPR forums, but beyond that I don't really know where else I could do so? I'm all ears and I couldn't agree more "Quality over quantity". -100%! The most effective word of mouth is from you to a friend though. Thats been my experience. Thanks for the comment, see ya around!
