That is two 18" telescopes set up as a pair of binoculars. LOOK AT IT. I want one. I also want to win the lotto, so when I win the prize, I am getting one of these. kleinbl00 can rent out that place in New Mexico and we can have a Hubski Star party.
Oh, and I did some snooping. The mirrors and secondaries for this telescope? For a single scope they are about $9K each. They are comparing the price to a 25" fully loaded Obsession, a nice scope on its own, and those run $22K. Less than I expected. The eyepieces they are talking about in the article are $500+ each and you need two of them, and you usually get a wide field, a middle-power with high contrast, and a high power eyepiece for your telescope, so add in $4K or so for the eyepieces.
I've always wanted an excuse to have a ranch outside Wickenberg, AZ. Now I have one. And a plane to fly there. 'cuz there's nowhere within a 4 hour drive of my life that would justify this beast... unfortunately. I love that they included a Telrad. It's like selling you a car and generously including the air freshener. (I think I still have mine)
