I'm somewhat familiar about the market taking a hit, I just don't understand why the good news leads to scrambling. Normally good news leads to bullish behavior, no?

In this market bad news is good because it indicates more fed buying and QE activity. Good news means that the Fed may sell and since the fed is such a huge player even the hint that the fed may sell and/or raise rates leads market players to panic.

You are not wrong. You are not playing casino with the global economy like Wall Street is.
