August was terrible mentally, physically, financially, weather-wise. Everything that had a shot at the suck made it nothing but net. Gonna Start September with three outreach events, an event at the library and a major work project complete. 2016 needs to stop being a dick to everyone and just end already.
Last week I put every assignment in every syllabus on an iCal calendar, color coded by intensity of assignment (daily HW, paper, lab, test, final, etc.) for the next 2 months and taped that shit to the wall by my desk.
- 18/20 pages of thesis written, will probably be 22 by the time I'm done next Friday. I need to get better at editing, as a I keep being tempted to mention background that is interesting, cool, but ultimately only semi-relevant to my own experiments. - Climbing and dancing were both out of the question this month. Knee re-re-re-injury plus mysterious sickness plus work leave me too exhausted most days. On the plus side, I've lost more than five pounds since the start of last month, so when I get back to it, I'll be swinging a few percentage points less of weight around the wall.
