Cheapest seat that I would have sat in was $1,300. Needless to say, I did not go.
not much point, IMO. just watch it on CBC, or on their website. or basically on any CBC property. Then again, I've never much been one for live concerts (I'd rather be onstage than in the audience). For some, 1300 is money worth spending for a live performance, but for me, I will barely go for 10 bucks. I'm horrible. I do love the hip, although it's a love that came more recently in my life. when I was a teen they were the noise between Nirvana and Thin Lizzy tunes on the rock station. Now, especially having had to learn them for cover gigs, I have a lot of respect, especially for Downie's lyrics. It's hard to include the names of real places without sounding trite, and he succeeds.
