thenewgreen It's been a while since we talked about it back when I did my 3 questions, but here it is as promised.
Nice work! A guy in my old circus had a great routine with the daibolo. During the act he added more of them until he was juggling three diabolo on the same string! He'd send one away across the stage, spinning backwards on the ground, and he'd quickly juggle the other two.... until the one on the ground got traction and came zooming back to him, where he'd pop it up in the air with his foot, catch it on the string, and have three of them on the string again!! I watched his act every night for two years, and the things he was able to do back then, still amaze me to this day. Completely nuts.
some cool percussive sounds there... you ought to mic it :) Very cool, looks cathartic. How does one become a daibolo-ist?
It can be quite cathartic once things start coming together. I'm not certain how I first became interested in it. When I was younger there was a local music festival which had free-for-all circus workshop type thing. It was either that or during our holidays to Cornwall/Devon because I remember clearly nagging my parents to buy me one from the beach shop.
