I found it shocking when I found out that about 80% of rapes are done by someone the person knew before (friend, relative etc). Which right away makes what you're wearing completely irrelevant. These photos are super powerful. I have the same converses.

Yeah, that's true. Something I've been musing on lately is the trust aspect. In other words, I'm out with friends, I don't really have to trust them the same way one of my female friends does. We all should be vigilant (even if most aren't), but it seems like more of an imperative for women, sadly.
