Gold:
Up close, within the immediate vicinity, it is undoubtedly bright. It transfixes many. Some go mad by it's luster. But not those strong of will. Once you step away, the luster, or the lust, falls under the subject's own internal processes.
The Golden Rule: Up close, within immediate proximity, it is as equal and supportive of promoting sustenance and a healthy life. It takes two to tango, after all.
Step away from the music, and the stimulating factors which engage our vast array of sensory receptors become subject to the internal makeup of our pre-frontal cortex. The golden rule transfers, likewise to the internalization of our values, or conceptions of the experience. Remember: actions speak louder than words. The dance is a story, low and behold! Though there are some brilliant story tellers... The dance itself; those who witnessed it, or the two who partook in it, become the beneficiaries of the moment, and the value beyond is none stronger than the subjects or participant in transferring the value. Of course, they may not chose to. Now we come to the topic of the status quo.
To impart ideas onto a macro-scale of humanity is a dangerous game, especially when you seek to fix reality with more ideas.
There is one reality that continues to enslave mankind: We all need fuel (nutrition), oxygen/water and the basic building blocks of life.
Brexit is not an attack on globalization, it is forcing the question: Are we truly globalizing? Or are we just running away with ideas. To write off an undeniable force of beating hearts because they've cancelled their passage into the idea-train is... well, it doesn't matter what I think. It doesn't change the reality of what happened.
A set of values backed by our own sense of value retains its fundamentals only as far as those ideas are transferred. Of course, I am sharing this on the internet, so we'll see just how much different the world is from bygone eras in history..
The Buddhists though, they've got it made. Even if you come tear down their shacks and strike them down, they've already beat the game. Like Obi-Wan, regardless of your values, in reality, in their mind they've beaten cyclic existence... Escaping the cycle (but, they still need food and water, though they've shown those needs are incredibly malleable to the power of the mind). Too bad there are so many of us on this planet.
Let's go wreck space, fellow adventurers.

: actions speak louder than words
you got fixed then? I've been to plenty, talked to many, and seen quite a few. Do your research kid, it's all on this site. I am voicing concerns shared by Another. There are many more on this planet who have shown they agree with my perspective, just because you don't experience these points of view doesn't mean they aren't there. I am translating their opinions into my own voice.
