I'm having trouble deciding whether this is really true, or over hyped.
I have no clue how what3words is assigning words, but this could be mitigated by not assigning similar sounding words to areas anywhere near each other. If your first example was in Monogolia and the second example was in the U.S., the chances of confusion would be low and it would obvious when it does happen.
The U.S. Capitol building is gosh.casual.stale. That's about right. Trump Tower's address is organ.farms.entry. I think what3words knows something we don't. Although now that I think about it, I'm not sure if that's some sinister plot or just a really gross euphemism.
I'm kinda pissed that there are quite a few awesome addresses over my dorm and I did not get any of them. Who would not want to be in Trail.Diplmat.Wizards or Labs.Speaking.Press or People.Mocking.Minority ;).
Interesting concept, but the question remains: Will it work? I hope it will. As a Mail Artist, I mail hundreds of envelopes each year, and to write or figure very long addresses can be a real pain sometimes. This URL type address seems to simplify things. But also rises the chance of confusion if similar words are assigned to places near each other.
Off-topic, but what does being a mail artist entail?
A mail artist is one who does Mail Art: art sent by traditional mail. Mail Art works with the exchange of art between artists from all over the world. Here's a better comprehensive guide: http://www.mailart.be/initiation.html
How cool! I'm beginning to (ever so slowly) try to get my own art skills to someplace I can be happy with. I'll have to look into that when the time comes....
