Growing up, I loved the GB films and I probably watched GB2 more than I did the original. That's probably because even as a kid I realized I didn't need to watch both as I would just be watching the same movie twice.
What's your take on the upcoming third Ghostbusters film that's said to be in the works? Murray has said he won't touch it and was quoted as saying something along the lines of, "Nobody wants to see fat old guys running around in jumpsuits." Notwithstanding, they have a script completed and they're going to go ahead with anyways, Murray or not.
My guess is that without Bill, GB3 is a total shit show. I also think Murray is wise to steer clear. A sheer sign of irrelevance is to remake a movie 20 years later about how washed up you are. All one need do is point to Stallone as proof. What's your take on the upcoming third Ghostbusters film that's said to be in the works?
-It only works with Murray in it. Akyroyd is a mystery to me? Why do people think that guy is funny? He's been in some good movies, but they're rarely good because of his acting/performance. Harold Ramis is a very talented writer/director but he can't carry the weight in front of the camera, he needs support, he needs a funny man.... he needs Murray.
There is a new Die Hard? I was just talking with my wife about how much I like Bruce Willis. Murray spoke highly of him during his time working on Moonrise Kingdom. -I thought Bruce did the best of all the actors in that film. Let me know how the Die Hard movie is, I'd definitely see it. Are they somehow bringing back Alan Rickman?
