"Barkeep - triple Tanqueray, neat. "Because I hate myself and want to die."
I like straight, gin, okay? Though, not Tanqueray (maybe one of their upper level ones?)
Have you Had Hendriks? (not neat, of course). It's pretty good. I'm drinking some stuff from quebec that I wanted to like more, but is unfortunately too much like paint thinner to be anything other than a mixer.
Sorry to butt in to the conversation, but I absolutely love Hendrick's... as long as I'm in the mood for something very gentle and delicate. Cucumber really does work perfectly with it. However, I could definitely see it is not for everyone; the taste is quite delicate and you can't make it strong (I think 30ml for 150-200ml tonic is about the limit). It's the gin that you could happily drink with breakfast.
What you drinking?! Have you tried Madison Park London Dry Gin from Quebec? (not sure if it's good, I just know it's made in my city) I've been loving Gin more and more lately, to the point I'm looking into buying tonic and sparkly water separately. Any tips on spotting the good stuff? I'm only getting started now and it's quickly becoming my favorite liquor. I think it took so long because the fist time I tried, I was 16 years old and my friend's dad poured us some fancy green liquid with an ice cube to drink straight. Knowing their posh family, it was probably some good shit. But it tasted like drinking windshield fluid to 16 year old me. I'm drinking some stuff from quebec
It's my favorite liquor to mix drinks with. I enjoy Plymouth Gin. -tasty and inexpensive. I recently bought a bottle of "Conniption" from the Durham Distillery. -pretty great, small batch gin.
It's Ungava. It's not terrible, but it's not the best either. I'll have to see if I can find Madison Park!
