They weren't able to locate the criminal who stole from me in order to prosecute him. If they had been able to, they would have prosecuted him as well. They have been looking for the perpetrator since November, so I suspect at this point they have conceded to themselves they will not find him. However, I believe the case file will remain open, just in case.
