- Things are going to become very interesting if we have a near-tie at the convention to be decided by the super-delegates.
Things are going to become very interesting when they look back at the many states that are still crying out for a re-vote, states fraught with “voting irregularities,” polling station closures, and voter roll purges — all states which Clinton won and all states which so far have not received justice.
I agree the author is delusional. The objective of the convention is to keep the status quo not to select the best candidate to go against trump. Is someone wants to bet that the super delegates will switch sides and Bernie will be the nominee because of that I'll give them 100:1 odds. The only caveat is that if Hillary get indited before the convention the odds go down to 2:1. Anyone care to make a friendly 1$ wager vs my $100?
I imagine that if things play out like the article suggests, there will be A LOT of Bernie supports at the convention in Philadelphia letting their opinions be known. I imagine that they'll create quite a scene, which after a certain point may convince superdelegates to vote Bernie (most superdelegates have voted against their state's vote for Bernie).
The rationale for switching is that Bernie did better across the country while Hilary won her lead in the South which should already be conceded to Trump. Undemocratic? Yes. But Bernie polls better against Trump. Probably due to that lack of charisma you mentioned. Either way Trump's gonna get pummeled by the right's longest serving boogeyman or a socialist so I don't know that the superdelegates are gonna follow my rationale.
