HIGHLY ANTICIPATED!! reactions: I have been pronouncing it are-dee (Arty) so like that's cool. your voice sounds very friendly and i like your laugh and your ideas about home are so so so important. all i want right now is to wrap up grad school and get my own place because nothing grinds my gears like not being able to come home and ACTUALLY be relaxed. having roommates keeps me in social anxiety mode basically all the time. also that is SUCH a good message. i feel like so many professional/interpersonal/political/etc issues could be avoided by just by BEING NICE. which i also feel like should be a hubski tagline. hubski: just be nice. :) also are we not doing background music any more??
I agree with your assessment of rd95. Pleasant chap.also are we not doing background music any more??
-no, people didn't like it.
meh. oh well. i'm just glad you included the cat + harpsichord track for mine. definitely one of my top 3 hubski moments.
Just to clarify here since I was one of the people who said they liked no music.... If you are going to use the "meethubski" tag as a way to sell the community to the outside world, then the music over the voice is fine. It has become the standard for the way an interview is conducted and most people are not going to have an issue with that format. However, if these are for the community, so that we can have a voice, tone, personality to the words on screen, then the no music works better. Music overs, especially loaded music scores, can have a major impact on the mind space of the listener. Example given: every time I see an arguewithatree post I hear cats meowing over a Beatles' song. It was such an excellent choice of music-over that at least in my head that music will always be HER in my head. The objecting I had to the music was more of a functional choice, not a style choice. Now I know how Lil speaks, or coffeespoons, or rinx etc, and I can put a conversational voice to the text. The music, again to me, is distracting from the ability to do that. As goobster said, it is easier to focus on what is being said.-no, people didn't like it.
Thank you ma'am. That's my nervous laugh, believe it or not. I use it quite a bit in my life. There really is no beating home though and I hope you get to have that normalcy soon. Also, we should write down all of the tagine people have come up for Hubski, and mk could have a rotating tagline on the feed, a new one each month. :)
I think lil has a list somewhere.we should write down all of the tagine people have come up for Hubski
