Not nearly mentioned enough is how much of an amazing, rockstar, badass, gorgeous, stupendous woman my wife is. This is the story from my perspective. But, remember that SHE was the one doing all the work. She was a superhero that day.
You're obviously missing out lots of details but it sounds like there were no serious complications. Out of interest how was the first birth? Our first was a trial by attrition - 28 hours - from being told by the midwife it was time to go to the hospital. For the second, my wife wasn't even offered an epidural since the birth was close. The whole thing was over in less than 2 or 3 hours. I mean so much smoother than the first.
Our daughter had to be induced. It was like 14 hours after that for the delivery. Once the real, heavy labor began it only took an hour or so. My wife pushed three times with each child. Second one was definitely faster. Obviously. There are so many details left out. Lots of gross stuff :)
