All the work on the production I was just in made me fall behind in my classes.
I spent spring break recovering from the lack of sleep and the psychological effects which the play caused.
Now I'm back from break and I'm still so far behind.
So I came up with #2amjams, for when it's 2am and you're 3/4 of the way through the first 1/3 of the homework that you should've been able to finish about 3 weeks ago.
When I was in college I used to smoke a little, by myself, get out my paint and canvass, put on Jeff Buckley Grace and make mediocre abstracts. I was a big fan of his and I still enjoy his music occasionally. What a voice! That said, I couldn't agree more. You don't need to croon like a bird to be motive, Cohen is amazing. EDIT: I'm sure we can all agree that both Buckley and Cohen's version's are better than Bon Jovi's
[k.d.] Lang also sang it at the 2006 Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame when Cohen was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Cohen's partner, singer Anjani Thomas, said: "After hearing K.D. Lang perform that song.... we looked at each other and said, 'well, I think we can lay that song to rest now! It's really been done to its ultimate blissful state of perfection'.
