I made dinner for my wife last night, that consisted of an amazing Endive salad, with apples, avocado, various nuts, and a vinaigrette I made with avocado oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, lime juice, maple syrup, and Italian spices (basil, oregano, thyme). It was blow-your-mind good! And she looked at me with those eyes, all full of love, and gave me a huge kiss and then made all the yummy noises as she ate. Happy happy happy!
It is definitely differently flavored than olive oil, so it has different uses. There some sort of blah blah blah about avocado oil not breaking down and getting cooties in high heat situations, or whatever, but who gives a shit. It's just another fat source with a different flavor. So it has its uses.
