I for one welcome our Google overlords.

It frightens me how much we depend on Google and how much personal information they have about us.

Do you have any specific concerns?

Claire  ·  3186 days ago  ·  link  ·

My only concern is their lack of interest or respect for one's privacy. Today I read this article and it made me realize that they don't really care at all about the people that use their services.

If you're not paying for a service, you're the product, not the customer.

There may be exceptions (obviously Google isn't one) but do you think we are hubski's product?

Hahahahahah! Meniacal laugh.

No, you're not. You are not for sale and neither is Hubski. So long as we can support the site financially, we will. To date we do so out of our own pockets and get a small amount subsidized through your donations. Emphasis on SMALL.

But, we don't even collect any rela vent info on you all and we don't want to. Ever.

We have other things we have built and are building to make money. Hubski we built as if it were an art project. It's here for everyone's enjoyment.

Haha I know, I was just just being sarcastic to show that some products can be truly free without making the consumer the product.

I'd ask the big boss, mk.
