There are a couple really awesome excerpts here. First, the thing about evolution. The whole raging debate about whether its appropriate to teach evolution is pretty modern. Before there was a mass conservative media to gives these nuts a voice it was a more isolated problem.
Second, I love this: Perhaps its not the dictator, but the US. Drones, anyone? What about secret tapping by the NSA? The US population is approximately 4.55% of the world population (calculation), so considering that not all Americans have acces to those drones, I am pretty sure we can call the people who do an elite group. And if this statement is true, that does not bode well...

Wild guess: Ethics when it comes to robotics (like the US drones b_b mentions in his post) and the use of other lifeforms, like bacteria and viruses. Those are two of the technologies which have the potential to enslave the human race if I may say so.
Oh, and don't forget the "internet war" that is or will be soon.
