I bought a frame, fork, and cassette at a bike swap meet. Spent $50 total, which seems kinda sketchy, but I'll splurge on the brakes and wheels. The fork isn't great, so I'll probably replace it before the year is out, but 80mm of travel is huge compared to a rigid. Literally infinite time better. Frame is a Trek 820, heavy and a bit small, but I'm aiming for an all-mountain hardtail I can also do some freeriding on too, so small is actually kinda nice, and heavy is okay. 9-speed cassette, but I'm doing a 1x. I've got pedals already from my current bike, and a saddle. Worst part is I don't have anything I can actually put together yet. Besides that, semester is ending, which is scary and chaotic.
