I haven't seen a New Year on Hubski yet, so maybe you guys already do something similar. But on Reddit, there's a rather new tradition of a /r/Project20__. Basically, a private subreddit for people to encourage and help one another with their goals for the year. I think Hubski would be a good place for something similar. Monthly or semi-monthly check in threads, and then just a common tag for advice or questions related to the project. The goals wouldn't have to be resolutions, but just in general anything you guys want to do over the year.
Of course, being Hubski, we'll make it our own. And there's no way (or sense) to make it a private group. If people are interested, or have ideas, put them here. Or just tell me it's a stupid idea and to shut up.
First order of business should probably be a better name.
Edit: think a site wide group of accountability partners.
I was planning on posting a 2015 closer post in the next few days and then doing 2016s in the new year. I was thinking of creating a shared spreadsheet on Google docs which people can use to input their progress. It will then do calculations to give us individual and Hubski wide success rates we can aim to beat or something. I'm not sure, I'll have to see what happens when I start playing around. I just thought it might be nice to have some sort of visual representation, but others may disagree. Also, one of my goals will be to actually make sure I create the posts all the way through the year. Sorry to everybody for becoming lax on that front.
I would like to post my 2015 physical transformation photos to some forum that I feel won't needlessly focus on the fact that I have tits, so I would also like a 2015 round-up thread, even though technically I wasn't in the 2015 goals list. I second this recommendation basically. And can someone s/o to me when it's up? Is that too much to ask? rezzeJ
I think it's a good idea to implement some game mechanics to it.
Please shout out to me and thanks for doing it.
I'm in. Finish VMWare certification. Fix weight gain from the auto accident and arm issues. Sub Goal 1- Get back under 200lbs. Sub goal 2. 11 min mile by mid year. Sub goal 3. 6 months Keto Speaking of health, finally murder my soda addiction. I want that bitch dead for real. 50 non-fiction books read. (every year goal). Get my AWS certs and actually USE them this time (Amazon Web Services) And finally, beat my outreach numbers from 2015.
rezzeJ will be posting a thread to list our 2016 goals. -50 books a year is awesome btw. This is a goal you accomplish most years?
