Ever notice how on Skylarking in Ballet for a Rainy Day a lyric is?:

  Orange and lemon
  Raincoats roll and tumble
  Together, just like fruit tipped from a tray

and on Orange and Lemons, in Chalkhills and Children a lyric is?:

  I'm skating over thin ice
  while some nonesuch net holds me aloft

and on Nonsuch, in Then She Appeared a lyric is?:

  Then she appeared
  Apple Venus on a half open shell

But nothing from Apple Venus, and not likely to be. :/

I suppose it is known, but I was happy to realize it on my own.

I had not noticed that! Very cool. I love the wordplay in XTC lyrics in general.
