There's always a post on reddit saying everything is inaccurate

I click on /r/science precisely to find out why something is actually not a cure for cancer despite the headline.

Well, so do I. I'm just tired of the pissing match reddit has turned into where some dick is preying on every comment and post to try to get Internet points by proving a stranger wrong on a semantic point. I don't comment there partially because I don't want to hear how my jokes aren't grounded in the current understanding of the universe. There's critical discussion and then there's one upmansmanship which is the level of dialog on reddit. I'm sorry. Reddit comments are one of my peeves

As soon as I heard him say Guns, Germs and Steel I knew the nitpickers were gonna have a field day. It's a YouTube video, not a doctoral thesis. Lighten up.

i'd assume accurate content would be important in both

No one on reddit is really saying he's wrong, they're just poking at things that don't reflect "the whole story." Few things give the whole story of anything and none do it in 12 minutes.
