I have never considered not legalizing drugs outright as a viable option. What would define "large scale dealers"? Also, is there not a benefit from the govt overseeing the production if there were laws that mandated "certified organic" to keep it safe?

There is apparently likely going to be a referendum to decriminalize pot on the ballot in Detroit this November. I'll likely vote for it, but I just worry about long term unintended consequences, I suppose. Also, rereading this piece makes me a little embarrassed as a writer, but I was slightly intoxicated last night and felt like complaining about something. And, well, there was no one else home :)

But no, I don't think there is any benefit to the government overseeing organic production. Most organic milk still comes from factory farms. Its not really any better than the regular shit, for the most part.

They would only need to enact a law that only organic drugs could be sold. This would ensure that your scenario of changing the drug to be hyper-addictive by using additives couldn't occur.
