I ran into http://www.summitpost.org/ a while back completely by accident (as I regrettably haven't climbed since childhood and am no climber).
This website is a fantastic resource that I think would appeal to various interests. I have spent hours in it looking at the amazing pictures - mainly the mountain ranges from Iran to India.
The key to using the site for me was to identity a particularly good poster and follow their trails as the quality of the pics ranges from good to omg.

I checked out your last link and "Kenzo Okawa's" photos are amazing. I've never been a "climber" but I used to live near Glacier National Park in Montana and did a fair amount of hiking. I miss it.
