I love that first anecdote. I agree that Citizen Kane was a masterpiece, often called the greatest film ever made, but the author glosses over The Third Man and Touch of Evil, which were also pretty great. The War of the Worlds radio broadcast is also infamous and let's not forget those classic Gallo wine commercials. I would have really liked it if he completed his version of Heart of Darkness". Fun fact: Citizen Kane* is widely renowned for being the first movie that did not tell the story in a linear, chronological order, but it was not.
