Thanks - I have always been happy with my choosen line of work, but I have been especially happy with the particular job I've had for the last 4 years or so - here is my employer's web page : http://www.rexbionics.com The ultimate in job satisfaction :-)

Very worthwhile work. I looked up some youtube videos of the robotics in action and I think I must have found an old version. Any chance you can provide a link to the newest?

Very cool job indeed!

Probably the newest videos are the ones a recent customer uploaded to his own Youtube channel, here : http://www.youtube.com/user/robobrogan . He took lots of footage during his training sessions and sped them up, sometimes adding music, commentary, etc. Partly because the device does walk pretty slowly, compared to a human (it's not about the speed, it's about standing up and walking).

This link is one of our founder telling the story of the company : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1srZf4IZ8w

Is it a quiet process or does it create a lot of sound?

He seems really happy about it, nice work!!

It's still a bit loud, but a lot quieter than it used to be! Sounds like robocop, actually :-) Here's a good demo video of the current-generation machine (walk starts at about 2:40) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cua2ZI68dFU

This is such a worthwhile endeavor. It is a bit loud, but I doubt the users mind. If there are future incarnations with new advancements, you should post video here. I'd definitely be interested in following the evolution of the product.
