Yeah, that's pretty intense. They refer to it as "couples matching" and it's pretty common. I think programs actually expect one each match. We have friends that matched in to Duke Radiology and Dermatology together. -Two of the most competitive specialties at one of the most competitive institutions. You pretty much have to take what you can get when couples matching though.
