Forget Nautilus, I want a Wilco Ask Hubski session.
They're my favourite band, no question, but I'm not really sure what I'd ask??
"Knowing that 'Yankee, Hotel, Foxtrot' is quite arguably the pinnacle of human achievement, how do you guys stay motivated to continue on instead of just saying 'Well, this is it guys. No point in going on any further.'?" That or . . . "On a scale of 1 to utter amazing, just how utterly amazing is JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound's cover of I am Trying to Break Your Heart?
As a songwriter myself that has recorded a few albums, I've found that I don't finish projects so much as I stop making them. How do you know when something is "done?"
That would make a great #askhubski question.
Neil Gaiman once tweeted "Novels are never completed. Just abandoned & published."
On a whim several years ago I happened to walk into an art supply shop and pick up an easel, some canvases, brushes and paint. I had a dinner party the next night and everyone had to paint something before they left. Tons of fun. So I started painting abstract stuff and that was my big conundrum. I think I got to the point where I decided I was finished with one. All the others I just kept adding and adding to. Without a deadline I would be prone to just keep working on something, making it worse and then better ad infinitum.
Sure. Hubski's servers can handle that no problem. Right insomniasexx?
