I read about Ethereum and understand some of it, but the rest goes over my head. To be honest I read about most crypto-currencies, and understand very little how it all works. I've never really put in the time to understand them because of the coding aspect of them, but the more I hear about them the more curious I become. I know you have been involved with Ethereum, and I'm very curious to understand it. What makes it different than other crypto-currencies?
Ethereum is a virtual computer run on a p2p network. ETH is the token that secures the ethereum blockchain. The ethereum blockchain contains executables and state of the virtual computer, and ETH must be spent to run programs on it. You could theoretically run any program on ethereum, but ETH costs and network limitations make only simple ones viable.
