There's one place on Earth that this device works, the skatepark seen in the vid. You'd have to construct every surface you wanted to use this board on with the same magnets embedded in it if you wanted to use your board on it.

So this changes nothing.

Man, kids these days. :) You've got someone doing tricks on a floating board!

Of course, it's not going to be a product, but the actual board and park are the stuff of childhood dreams.

I agree. Pshaw. How nice of Lexus to build a skatepark in Spain.

I do wonder why they didn't put down two metal tracks a couple inches apart in order to make the thing ride-able.

I'd bet if they did two tracks it'd ruin the "cool skateboard look," and considering native ad stunts like these are 95% appearance, 5% substance, they'd prefer something that looks good as opposed to works well.
