Back by popular demand, we will be doing a second series.
So, what do you want to watch?
Keep in mind, we have many different people with very different schedules.
The way it will work is the top dotted suggestion will win. If there are dot-ties, we will make a poll.
Glad to be back, and looking forward to viewing with you all!
I'll will begin thinking over a new format for better engagement.
Heard good things about Psycho-Pass, anybody up for that?
Psycho-Pass is very good. I've seen it, but I would watch it again. I'll dot you.
Eureka 7 if you haven't already watched it. Gargantia of the Verduous planet is decent. It's surprisingly enjoyable for how very basic it is. I really enjoy Log Horizon, but it's not for everyone. Ghost in the Shell: Arise is only good if you like Ghost in the Shell and want to know more about the characters, but it's not like....great or anything. Welcome to the NHK continues to be my go-to recommendation and a dramatically underappreciated show. Eureka 7 is probably my top suggestion to humans, though.
Klein had questions when we did Meduka Meguca, that might help a bit. Anyways we should watch Gatchaman Crowds. I'm on the second season but I just rewatched the first, so I can talk about it all the live long day. Gatchaman Crowds is fucking awesome, and a reboot to that series (yes, the one with Ken the Eagle). I don't want to delve into it too much, but it's right after Madoka Magica on my hype-meter, and tackles the age of technology and constant-interconnectedness better than any other show -- anime or not -- that I've seen. It also questions what a protagonist is, and why we need "heroes". And the soundtrack is awesome. Here's the opening for the first and second season (second OP has light spoilers).
Also there's 0 gross fan service and progressive characters. Seriously a ground-breaking anime imo, and highly recommended (if only to see if I can go 2/2 on the Kleinbl00 Animu Hype Train...u)
I'm going to recommend Lucky Star. it's a moe slice of life comedy about the lives of 4 high school girls. it's as slice-of-like as you can get, there's no plot whatsoever. I'm recommending it because it's a classic, and one that newer anime fans might not have seen yet, as it came out in 2007 and thus has been overshadowed in it's genre by newer shows. it's 24 episodes long and each lasts about 23 minutes. if anyone has any trouble finding a copy, i'll upload my YouTube rip of the Dub somewhere upon request.
i want someone to talk hunterxhunter with but no one will commit ;n;
get on my levellllll (don't do that i think it's part of the reason my first semester of grad school was so fucky lol)
Yeah, we don't have that kind of time haha, HxH is great (<3 hisoka) Alas, we should stick to 1-2 season anime.
