Are you going to watch the movie?
I mean I'll have to, won't I? Just to see it come to fruition. To see it all there. Like watching a nuclear explosion. Hopefully I have some terminal illness where I know my exact time of death, so that I can plan to die right as the movie ends and blame it for everything.
Well, it's got Spielberg attached which usually means it'll never happen. It's also got Zak Penn writing a draft, which also means it's going into development hell. Kind of like the live-action Akira, this is a fast-buck makework project for a studio so they can look like they're busy without actually having to risk a hundred million dollars on a book that everyone will have forgotten by 2016. Snow Crash has been "in development" for 20 years, and Neuromancer for 30.
