It's still a significant site, though. It has a huge number of users, many of whom belong to the coveted millennial generation. I'd say that for that reason alone, it is worth observing what happens to it. The free-speech debate also feels important right now. Maybe that's just because I'm in France, which is still trying to process the Charlie Hebdo attack.
Most of the garbage piles are of the same qualities. Clearly, Reddit must have other reasons to be observed to justify such an amount of attention. Besides. Wasn't it you who posted the link? You're right, that was confusing! Thanks for asking for clarification - it helps me put my thoughts in order. What I wanted to articulate with this post was the following: Despite finding Reddit not meaningful to me personally, I believe that it is influential on society as a whole - and, because of that, it is worth keeping abreast of developments there.
Or something along those lines... does that make more sense, maybe?
