I'm very excited about the technology, but very anxious about the tether. We should be able to retrieve information and communicate with each other anonymously, but I don't see that as a likely choice going forward. Using these glasses will mean accepting Google's privacy agreement. A few years ago, I would be nothing but excited about these. I wish we could get tools that didn't mine us.

Yeah let's all give Google a live video feed of everything we're doing all the time! That could only be used for good.

Would the glasses be online at all times? Sheesh that'd be creepy.

I was being facetious, but you never know with Google.

Yes, this is obviously the worst idea ever.

If this ever reaches the market, how long do you think it'll be before an imitator pops up? Then again, maybe they'll try and become the dominant glasses OS, too.

Hubski glasses will be awesome.

But seriously, I would be surprised if Apple isn't working on it. They need to keep evolving as mobile computing does.

However, I am not personally convinced voice activation is the way to go. I'd rather have a heads-up eyewear display, and then trace one finger in my other palm as the touchpad. Maybe you could do that with eyewear plus a wristband.
