I ignored him immediately and he hasn't come up in my feed since. Does hubski even have the ability to ban an individual user?

If they don't, they should. It's only going to get worse as we get more users.

Just "ignore" him. -not figuratively, but literally by clicking on his name and clicking the "ignore" button. You won't see his posts any longer unless someone "shares" it with you which is unlikely. I ignored him the other day and haven't seen a post since.

Yeah, I've already ignored him. I just think it will be a useful feature to have for spammers, people posting phishing links, etc.

Nope, it's still there. I'm apply for uni at university of sydney for next semester (starts in feb) though so it's all good. I had too much stuff to take back in addition to the guitar. It has a good home now though.

Currently you only get the option to ignore if the user comes into your feed as an external post. The thinking was if you are following them, then you won't choose to ignore them. But, I can see that someone might share a post with you by a user you'd like to ignore. I can add the option there.
However, whether you ignore someone or not, if someone you follow shares their post with you, you will see it (although the name will be red). -If you keep getting red names in your feed, it means you might be following the wrong people. I'll make that change.
