That would be nice, Democrats would look reasonable and let the Republicans have a circus. It would be pleasant to just watch the crazy entertainment they provide, without any real brutal arguments.

Since that's how it happened in 2012 when it seemed as if every eligible Republican was running, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened again next year.
